I think some of the reason I am writing so much, is that I find myself having so much to say, but no one has the time to listen.  I never liked small talk, even as a kid.  I always wanted to talk about something meaningful.  That hasn’t changed, but the stories have become more complicated, or maybe I just see more complication in them.  In any case, the back story for my points of view and general points I want to make have become too large and complicated to say to someone on an average day.   And it seems that everyday here is an average day, too filled with the everyday tasks, distractions or too noisy to really talk.  And then there is of course the language barrier.

The last place I was able to have long deep  conversations was in my 5th floor living room and I miss that, but even if I went back, those people are now gone.  Discussions of human emotion cycles and charts, talk of neutron detection, etc…you people know who you are!

Guess the point here is that I hope now everyone will benefit from what I write and maybe this will spark more deep conversations in the future.

I can’t believe it, but it looks like I will be publishing at least 3 books this summer, so add them to your wish list! :D

There are a lot of elements of my life, converted to scifi in the book.  I think this adds a gritty, real feeling that touches the heart and is funny, but I will let you decide when you read it.

I will try to post it later today.

I find myself laughing uncontrollably at some of these memories as I write.   Some make me equally sad, but proud and grateful that I got to live them.

I can’t wait to finish and share it with all of you!

I used a 10 foot dish, with a special built feed horn, a radio shack satellite finder, an inline amp and a computer with ham radio software. I have been able to detect the Milky Way as it goes overhead twice a day.

Using an 11" Celestron SCT, we were able to see the brightening of comet Tempel 1 on July 4th 2005 shortly after the DI probed smashed into it.
